This is a
garage that was hit by the truck in the
foreground.
Notice the brick column
is destroyed.
The interior framing
is destroyed and the house over the garage is
starting to sag.
|

|
Within just a few
hours, the AARC emergency repair crew has removed
the precarious brick, installed a temporary support
and sealed the area off with OSB panels and caution
tape. When informed of the damage, the insurance
company quickly authorized the emergency repairs.
Later when the adjuster reviewed our work and
approved our estimate, complete refinishing was
started a couple of weeks later.

|
This is
the finished repair.
The brickwork has
been carefully mached by our master masons and the
garage doors are new Stanley steel. The light has
been hand repainted , reassembled and installed to
keep the macth with the others. The trim has been
replaced and repainted to match.

|
This is
the repair with the interior
finished.
The drywall has been
restored so the damaged area cannot be found. The
damaged framing was completely replaced. The garage
door tracks were replaced. The interior was
repainted to match.

This is the view from
the same side as the top picture. The truck is
still not repaired as we finished the repair very
quickly.
These are advantages of

This is a
pipe that leaked sewage into the home.
Notice the brick column
is destroyed.
The leak damaged the
drywall upstairs and down.
The flooring was damaged
as was the siding and some framing
outside.
|

|
Here you can see the
stain extends under the carpet as well as the vinyl
in the kitchen on the left.
The insurance company was
only going to replace the carpet and patch the
drywall.
After extensive
negotations for the homeowner, the insurance paid
for the carpet, kitchen floor, paint for the room,
sanitizing germicidal, replacement of the damaged
siding and hidden framing damage repair and the
drywall and flooring downstairs. The homeowner was
moved out to a hotel furnished by the insurance
company during the cleanup and
repair.
|

|
This is
the outside before the repair.
The replacement of
the siding and cleaning of the foundation was not
considered in the first appraisal from the
insurance company.
|
|
This is
the inside closeup of the siding
damage.
This was visable to
but ignored by the adjuster.
At our and the owner's
insistance, it was covered in the final
repair.

|
This is the view from
the outside again.
All the siding removed was
damaged.
|
|

|
After removal of the
siding and foam, this serious framing damage was
revealed.
If not repaired at this
time, it would have been up to the homeowner to do
later at addition expense. Probabaly when found as
part of a sale of home home inspection. This type
of damage could possibly stop a pending
sale.
This wood was replaced
with new.
